Rio Ruiz Hits Two-Run Home Run Tuesday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles second/third baseman Rio Ruiz saved his team from getting shut out in Tuesday's 2-7 loss to the Yankees, going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run (his first of the season) and two strikeouts. Ruiz took Lucas Luetge deep to right field with two outs in the ninth inning to finally get the O's on the board. Ruiz is off to a slow start this season, slashing .188/.278/.375 with a 38.9% strikeout rate. He has shown that he can hit for power, but Ruiz's fantasy value is limited by his inability to hit for average. Fantasy managers should avoid him at this time.
