Gio Urshela Picks Up Two Hits On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela picked up a pair of hits, including his first extra-base hit of the season, against the Orioles on Wednesday. Although Urshela's arm strength is reportedly down this season -- something that remains worth keeping an eye on after he underwent offseason surgery to remove a bone chip from his elbow -- it hasn't shown up in his power production, as he hit three batted balls with exit velocities above 100 mph on Wednesday and has a 47.1% hard-hit rate so far this year. Fantasy managers should expect Urshela to continue bouncing back from a slow start to the season and expect him to post an OPS north of .800 again this year if he's fully healthy.
