4 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos scored his 17th goal of the season on a power play in Thursday's 6-4 win over Columbus but left the game in the third period with an apparent injury. With just 1:46 played in the final frame, the Lightning captain sent the puck into the offensive zone and immediately looked to have been in discomfort, despite there being minimal contact on the play along the boards. Stamkos, who has gone through a number of injury issues in his career, has missed just two games this season. He has 34 points in 38 outings with 17 goals. Tampa will be back in action on Saturday against the Predators. There are yet no words on the seriousness of Stamkos' injury.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
