Jorge Lopez Earns First Win Of Season Friday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Jorge Lopez improved to 1-2 in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers. Lopez pitched five innings, allowing two runs on two hits (both solo home runs) and a walk with weight strikeouts. It was encouraging to see Lopez's first decent start of the season, although the outcome could have been worse had there been runners on base for the HR. The strikeouts have been there for the 28-year-old (17 over 13 2/3 IP), but the ERA has not at 8.56. Lopez will look to string together another solid start against the A's at home.
