4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays returned from the injured list Tuesday after recovering from a hamstring injury and made an immediate impact in a 7-5 win over the Marlins. Hays entered the game in the first inning after Anthony Santander (ankle) left the game with a left ankle sprain. He proceeded to go 1-for-4 with a single, two strikeouts, and an excellent defensive play in right field. Ryan McKenna was optioned to alternative site in a corresponding move, although he could be recalled due to the Santander injury. The 25-year-old is slashing just .214/.214/.286 in his 14 plate appearances this season, but has shown signs of being a fantasy contributor in the past. Hopefully, he can get things going now that he is healthy.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
