DeSclafani pitched just four innings, allowing three runs on five hits (including a three-run home run) and two walks with five strikeouts. The outcome would have looked different if not for the allowed long ball, but the 31-year-old has had an encouraging start to the season regardless, compiling a stellar 2.14 ERA with six walks and 21 strikeouts over 21 IP.
