4 years agoBaltimore Orioles closer Cesar Valdez picked up his fifth save of the season in Monday's 4-2 win over the Yankees. Valdez entered the game in the eighth inning up by three with two outs and the bases loaded. He allowed a single to Gio Urshela, but Austin Hays threw out Aaron Judge at third base, so only one inherited runner scored. Valdez stayed on to pitch a 1-2-3 ninth inning with a strikeout. The 36-year-old has been a surprising fantasy player this season, converting five of six save opportunities with a 0.84 ERA. He remains a fantasy option despite the O's overall record.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
