Trey Mancini Hits Fifth Homer Of Season Thursday, Heating Up
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini had another nice day at the plate in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings win over the Yankees, going 3-for-4 with two singles, a solo home run, and two RBI. Mancini lined a sixth-inning Jordan Montgomery offering just over the center-field wall for his fifth HR of the season. The 29-year-old started the season off slow but has started producing up to his usual standard lately, batting .385 with five RBI over his last seven games. There was never any questioning Mancini's ability and it was not surprising to see a slow start given he missed last season recovering from treatment of colon cancer. Fantasy managers should buckle up now that Mancini has started to get things rolling.
