4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis (hand) is dealing with "inflammation in his joints" and will not be returning to his rehab assignment for at least the next few days, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Davis has been on the injured list since the beginning of May due to a sprained left hand, and had been only a few more games away from returning to New York before this setback. It seems like the Mets just can't catch a break this year when it comes to injuries, as they will have to wait a little while longer now before getting one of their top hitters back in the lineup.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
