3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater played his part in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks, tying the game in the eighth inning with a pinch-hit two-run home run. Entering the game to hit with a runner on second, Slater launched an Alex Young breaking ball into the second deck in left field for his sixth HR of the season. Despite the HR, the 28-year-old has not been able to get things going this season after an encouraging 2020 and is now slashing just .219/.315/.412 with 16 RBI and seven stolen bases. The speed is nice, but Slater's fantasy value will remain limited until he can start to get more hits.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
