3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. hit one of the team's four home runs in Friday's 8-5 win over the Cubs, going 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a strikeout. Wade Jr. followed a Jason Vosler solo shot with one of his own in the fourth inning to give the Giants an 8-4 lead. The 27-year-old has done a serviceable job filling in for Brandon Belt (oblique), slashing .267/.371/.500 through 35 plate appearances. It remains to be seen what Wade Jr.'s role with the team will be once Belt returns from the injured list.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
