Ryan Rolison Out For Over A Month After Appendix Removal
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Ryan Rolison (appendix) is expected to miss more than a month after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. The top pitching prospect in the Rockies' system and Colorado's No. 2 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline, Rolison was having a great season on the mound, going 3-1 with a 3.67 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 27 innings of work between Double-A and Triple-A. This will cost him some time between recovery and building back up to baseball activities, but he could have a shot at reaching Colorado late in the season. Minimally, he should be vying for playing time in Colorado out of Spring Training in 2022.
