3 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi (groin) could be ready to return to the lineup by Sunday or Monday in Chicago, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Choi has missed the team's last five games due to groin tightness, but Topkin reports that he is feeling better now. The team will likely take a cautious approach with Choi, after he missed the first month and a half of the season due to knee surgery at the end of Spring Training. When healthy, Choi has looked great at the plate this year, slashing .304/.448/.522 with two home runs, 11 RBI and eight runs scored over 15 games. In the meantime, Yandy Diaz will continue to get the bulk of the playing time at first base.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
