3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Beau Burrows was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, the team announced on Twitter. Burrows was called up to take the spot of reliever Rony Garcia, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain. A former first round pick for Detroit, Burrows struggled in his major league debut in 2020 where he allowed four runs on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings of work. He hasn't done a whole lot better at Triple-A this year, where he has posted a 6.23 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 17 1/3 innings of work. Best case scenario for Burrows right now is that he can be a decent SV/HLD option, but outside of that he can be safely left on the waiver-wire.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
