3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quad) is getting close to beginning a rehab assignment, according to Scott Mitchell of TSN Sports. Manager Charlie Montoyo said that Springer is still with the team and it's still a day-to-day situation with him. Montoyo added, "Rehab assignment shouldn't be too far from now, I just don't know what date". Springer has only played in four games this season due to an oblique strain and a quad strain. Managers will hope that he can get back in action soon and put up a solid second half of the season to make up for what has been a lost first few months.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
