3 years agoCincinnati Reds relief pitcher Tejay Antone (forearm) is expected to only need to spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list before he returns to action, according to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. Antone was placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday with right forearm inflammation, with the transaction retroactive to Tuesday. This means Antone will be eligible to return from the IL next Friday, which is what manager David Bell believes will be the most likely outcome. Antone has been having a good year on the mound so far, going 1-0 with three saves, a 1.41 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 32 innings.
