3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop (hand) has been scratched from the lineup due to left hand soreness, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. Schoop was previously announced as getting the start at first base, but now Harold Castro will start at first and bat ninth against the White Sox. When healthy, Schoop has quietly been having a solid season so far, slashing .262/.317/.437 with 10 homers, 29 RBI and 24 runs scored.
