3 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Wilson Ramos was designated for assignment on Tuesday, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. Ramos got off to a nice start with Detroit in April, slashing .224/.258/.482 with six homers, nine RBI and nine runs scored over 25 games. But a stint on the injured list cost Ramos time, and after slashing .143/.189/.171 over 10 games in May, he got passed up on the depth chart by Jake Rogers and Eric Haase. Depending on where he lands, Ramos could still have some value in fantasy this year, but it will likely be limited to deeper mixed leagues and two-catcher formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
