3 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan dropped to 2-2 for the year on Tuesday night, allowing three runs — two earned —on seven hits and one walk while striking out four in a 3-0 loss to the White Sox. It was his first time pitching five innings since May 27, as he is now 0-2 with a 7.15 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 11 1/3 innings across three starts in the month of June. He's been a bit inconsistent on the mound this season but one thing he hasn't struggled with is strikeouts, as he owns a 29.6 percent strikeout rate over 38 2/3 innings of work. He should be in line for a nice start in his next turn through the rotation, where he is currently projected to face the Mariners.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
