3 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Hyeon-Jong Yang was designated for assignment on Thursday to make room on the roster for newly acquired pitcher Dennis Santana, according to Rangers executive vice president of communications John Blake. Yang has struggled on the mound in his first year in MLB, going 0-3 with a 5.59 ERA and a 15 percent strikeout rate over 29 innings of work, and he has allowed at least one run in seven of his eight appearances this season.
