3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quad) is getting the start in center field with the Triple-A Bisons on Sunday as he continues his rehab assignment, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. Matheson adds that the Bisons have an off-day on Monday, and the Blue Jays will likely make a decision then as to whether Springer will continue his rehab assignment or if he will rejoin the team. To say that it's been a disappointing season for Springer is an understatement, as he has appeared in only four games between oblique and quad injuries. At the risk of jinxing him, it looks like Springer could be activated and in Toronto's lineup very soon. Managers should keep an eye out for updates over the next 24 hours, but be prepared to slot him back into the lineup shortly.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
