3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed just one run on three hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work in a 7-4 win over the Orioles on Sunday afternoon. It was his third straight quality start, as he is now 6-4 on the year with a 3.25 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 83 innings of work this season. While that's been good, his strikeout rate has plummeted over his last four starts now. After posting a 25 percent strikeout rate over his first 10 starts, Ryu now has an 11 percent strikeout rate in the month of June. Managers will hope for better strikeout numbers in his next start against the Orioles.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
