3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda (forearm) was playing catch on Sunday and is scheduled for a bullpen session on Friday, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic. Pineda has been out since the beginning of June due to forearm tightness, but before then he was having a decent season as he is 3-4 with a 3.70 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 56 innings of work. If all goes well with the bullpen session, he will likely need a short rehab assignment but it's possible we could see him back in Minnesota before the All-Star break.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
