3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) is expected to return to the lineup for Monday night's series opener with the Dodgers, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune. Tatis exited Saturday's game after injuring his shoulder while diving for a ball, and then was held out of the lineup for Sunday afternoon's finale with the Reds. Manager Jayce Tingler said that they expect Tatis will be starting against the Dodgers on Monday night, "unless things drastically change and we take a step back." It sounds like things are looking good for Tatis going forward, although managers should keep a healthy amount of caution in mind with Tatis' shoulder, as that will likely be a lingering issue throughout the season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
