Michael Conforto Not Activated Due To COVID Issue In Syracuse
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (hamstring) was not activated from the injured list on Tuesday due to a COVID-19 situation going on with the Triple-A Syracuse Mets, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic. Syracuse's scheduled game for Tuesday night has been postponed while testing and contact tracing is performed, however Britton reports that Conforto has tested negative on Tuesday night. The team now plans to activate Conforto from the injured list prior to Wednesday's game, as he will likely make his first appearance on the field since the middle of May.
