3 years agoTexas Rangers designated hitter Willie Calhoun (forearm) has suffered a fractured left forearm after being hit by a pitch on Saturday, according to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Manager Chris Woodward said the team doesn't know the full extent of his injury just yet, but unsurprisingly he's going to miss some time. Calhoun was hit by a pitch on the forearm to lead off the second inning, and after he initially stayed in the game and ran the bases, he was pinch-hit for in the third inning. Entering Saturday's game, Calhoun was slashing .254/.320/.385 with five homers, 19 RBI and 22 runs scored over 58 games.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
