Zac Gallen Exits Start Friday With Apparent Injury
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen (leg) exited his start on Friday after he appeared to injure himself while throwing a pitch, according to Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. Gallen was seen hopping off the mound after throwing a pitch and then sitting down on the infield grass. He was looked at by a trainer and then left the field under his own power. It's a good sign he was able to walk off the field, but managers are groaning over the fact it's yet another injury for Gallen, who has been limited to nine starts this season. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now and wait for updates on his condition after the game.
