3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Ka'ai Tom (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a low back strain, the team announced on Twitter. The move was made retroactive to Friday, and in a corresponding move the Pirates recalled pitcher Kyle Keller from Triple-A Indianapolis. Tom hasn't really had any value in fantasy this year, as he's slashing .152/.308/.261 over 39 games since joining the Pirates. With Tom out, this likely means an increase in playing time for prospect Jared Oliva, who is 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in two games this season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
