3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez (thumb) will miss his second consecutive game on Thursday versus the Philadelphia Phillies. Baez was scratched from Wednesday's lineup with a right thumb sprain and remains day-to-day at the moment. It's unfortunate for managers with Baez hitting three home runs in his last two games. The upcoming free agent is hitting .234 with 21 home runs, 56 RBI and 10 stolen bases for the season. Baez will be replaced in the lineup by infielder Sergio Alcantara this evening. Alcantara will bat eighth and is a dart throw in DFS versus Zach Eflin this evening.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
