3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant (hamstring) pinch-hit in Friday's victory versus the St. Louis Cardinals. Bryant came off the bench in bottom of the seventh inning with the bases loaded and came through with a three-run double. Bryant was then taken out for a pinch-runner. The Cubs are playing it safe with Bryant, but the fact that he was able to come off of the bench on Friday is a good indication that his return is not far away. Infielder Patrick Wisdom started in place of Bryant on Friday and is likely to start on Saturday if Bryant remains sidelined.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
