3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa (hand) will begin throwing off the mound within the next few days, according to David O'Brien of The Athletic. Ynoa has been out since the middle of May after he broke his hand by punching the dugout wall after a rough outing. There's still no timetable for his return, but early reports anticipated that he would be out until sometime in August. O'Brien also reports that the team is still deciding on what his role on the staff will be going forward, but they are waiting to see how he looks when he begins throwing again. Obviously if he's bumped to the bullpen that will send his potential value plummeting, but for now, managers should continue to monitor how he progresses through his rehab.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
