3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is expected to have a big season with new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. Lombardi comes from the New Orleans Saints and has worked with running backs, Alvin Kamara, Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles in the past. Ekeler's skill set appears to be a perfect fit for Lombardi on paper. Daniel Popper of The Athletic projects that Ekeler will be lined up all over the field and should put up big numbers as both a rusher and receiver, provided he stays healthy. Ekeler missed six games with a quad injury in 2020, but has only missed two games outside of that in four years.
