3 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com. Bowman adds that the team had been hoping to get Pederson to join the team in time for Friday's game, but it appears he will have to wait until Saturday before he makes his debut with Atlanta. Pederson was acquired from the Cubs on Thursday for minor league first baseman Bryce Ball, and over 73 games this season he is slashing .230/.300/.418 with 11 homers, two steals, 39 RBI and 35 runs scored. With Ronald Acuna Jr. out for the season due to a torn ACL, and Marcell Ozuna unofficially out for the year following his arrest for domestic violence, Pederson should provide a boost to an Atlanta squad that is currently running out an outfield of Abraham Almonte, Orlando Arcia and Guillermo Heredia.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
