3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (knee) has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a bone bruise in his left knee, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. It's yet another injury for Voit, who has only managed to play 29 games this year. When he's been healthy, he is slashing .241/.328/.370 with three homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored. It's been a major disappointment to fantasy managers who were hoping that Voit would build off his breakout 2020 campaign where he slugged .610 with 22 homers in 56 games. Chris Gittens is getting the start at first base on Friday against Boston, and he could figure to see a bulk of playing time at first while Voit remains out.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
