3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Mark Canha (hip) is showing improvement and could return to the Athletics' lineup this weekend, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com. Canha landed on the 10-day injured list with a left hip strain on June 25, and prior to the injury he was in the midst of a good year at the plate where he was slashing .255/.375/.450 with 11 homers, seven steals, 33 RBI and 55 runs scored over 74 games. It's unclear which day he'll return as of right now, so managers should pay close attention for further updates on his condition.
