3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu went 1-for-3 with a double in a 4-0 win over the Astros on Sunday. After a poor showing in the month of June where he slashed .182/.265/.307 over 23 games, Abreu has looked much better at the plate in July, as he's currently slashing .308/.377/.538 with three home runs, 15 RBI and nine runs scored over 13 games this month. This has helped bring his season line back up to .252/.336/.456 with 16 homers, 69 RBI and 46 runs scored over 86 games this year. While it's a disappointing performance from the reigning AL MVP, Abreu is still a solid fantasy first baseman in all formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
