3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (neck) threw a 32-pitch bullpen session off the mound on Monday, according to Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post. Strasburg had recently suffered a setback in his rehab program after experiencing discomfort following a simulated game earlier this month, but manager Dave Martinez said that Strasburg had been feeling good doing long toss over the past few days, which made the team feel comfortable enough in getting him back on the mound. Strasburg has been out since the beginning of June with a neck strain, and he's still a ways from returning as he will require a rehab assignment before he heads back to Washington. Managers should continue to keep an eye out for further updates on his progress in rehab.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
