Luis Robert Cleared To Begin Rehab Assignment
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hip) has been cleared to begin his rehab assignment on Wednesday for Class A Winston-Salem. This is great news for the young outfielder that has been sidelined since May 4 with a Grade 3 right hip flexor strain. Despite the encouraging news, Robert still has a long way to go and there is no guarantee that he will be back in time to help managers this season. When healthy, Robert is one of the most explosive young outfielders in the game and capable of helping across the board. In 25 games this season, Robert has a .316 batting average with one home run, eight RBI and four stolen bases. Managers should temper their expectations at the moment, but it is a great sign to see Robert returning to the field.
