Mookie Betts Will Miss Fifth Straight Game
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) remains sidelined for the fifth consecutive game on Thursday versus the San Francisco Giants. Betts has been dealing with a hip injury since being removed on Saturday and he has yet to appear in a game since. Betts was rounding into form before the All-Star break, but health has been a big concern for him this season. Betts has been a disappointment for managers that spent early draft capital on him this season and is hitting .270 with 14 home runs, 40 RBI and seven stolen bases. Newcomer Billy McKinney will replace Betts in the outfield and bat eighth versus Anthony DeSclafani on Thursday. McKinney is hitting .213 on the season, but does have eight home runs and is a dart throw in DFS this evening. Betts remains day-to-day.
