3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Friday that the club is targeting Wednesday for starting pitcher Max Scherzer's debut with the club. Scherzer was acquired in Friday's blockbuster deal that also sent shortstop Trea Turner to Los Angeles and will meet his new teammates in Arizona on Saturday. Scherzer has been having a great season and should get plenty of run support with his new club. Scherzer pitched on Thursday and is 8-4 on the season with a 2.76 ERA in 19 starts. Scherzer would face a tough Houston Astros on Wednesday, but managers should always start Scherzer when he is on the mound.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
