3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin had bad command of his pitches on Friday and only lasted 1 2/3 innings in tonight's no-decision versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gonsolin allowed one hit, two runs, five walks and struck out one on the evening. Gonsolin was yanked after allowing his fourth walk in bottom of the second inning to load the bases. Gonsolin has only gone six innings once this season, but has put up solid numbers with the exception of tonight. The Dodgers just acquired starting pitcher Max Scherzer and have Clayton Kershaw (forearm) working his way back from a forearm injury, so it's fair to wonder if Gonsolin will remain in the rotation for the long term of this season. The Dodgers also acquired starting pitcher Danny Duffy (forearm) on Friday, but he is currently on the 10-day injured list with a forearm injury and isn't expected back until late August at the earliest. Gonsolin's next scheduled start will come on Friday versus the Los Angeles Angels. Gonsolin remains 2-1 and owns a 2.78 ERA and should remain rostered in deeper leagues.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
