Rafael Ortega Continues To Hit In Second Half
3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Rafael Ortega went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base and a two-run home run in Saturday's victory versus the Washington Nationals. Ortega has been leading off for the Cubs lately and has been hitting the ball well. Ortega is now hitting .386 with one home run and five RBI over his last 44 at-bats. With the Cubs blowing up their entire offense, Ortega should continue to be a member of their lineup, but he should see fewer run opportunities. The career journeyman is now hitting .294 with three homers, 10 RBI and four stolen bases this season. He is worth riding while he is hot in deeper leagues, but managers should expect a regression at some point.
