Cole Kmet Catches Touchdown In First Padded Practice
3 years agoChicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet hauled in a touchdown in the team's first padded practice of training camp. Kmet has become an early favorite of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton and was targeted often in the red zone drills. Conversely, rookie quarterback Justin Fields' best throws have come on seam routes and across-the-middle lasers to tight ends in camp. The second-year tight end will need to step up his game this season and the Bears offensive scheme is catered toward production from the tight end position. As of now, the early returns are promising that Kmet plays a significant role in the offense this season.
