3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta had another rough outing on Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Arrieta got crushed right out of the gate and allowed seven runs in the top of the first inning. The Cubs needed some innings out of their starter, so Arrieta remained in the game and would finish with a line of 11 hits, eight runs, two walks and three strikeouts. Arrieta has been on the decline all season and with pitcher Keegan Thompson getting stretched out in Triple-A, it's fair to wonder if Arrieta will remain in the rotation for the rebuilding Cubs. Arrieta falls to 5-11 and now owns a dismal 6.88 ERA. The veteran will look for better results versus the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. He should be avoided in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
