Mekhi Sargent Making Case For No. 3 Running Back Role
3 years agoTennessee Titans running back Mekhi Sargent had an impressive preseason debut on Friday against the Falcons, rushing 16 times for 58 yards. He also brought in his only target for a six-yard reception. Sargent is trying to leap Jeremy McNichols and Brian Hill on the depth chart in an attempt to make Tennessee's final roster, but The Athletic's Joe Rexrode seems to think that Sargent has a chance to do so. According to Rexrode, "Hill is still the favorite to be No. 3 running back after Henry and Evans. But Sargent looks to be closing that gap." Sargent doesn't need to be on your fantasy radar outside of deep dynasty leagues, but he should probably be on your watch list in that league format.
