Luis Castillo Shuts Down Marlins On Thursday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo turned in a gem in a 6-1 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday. Castillo allowed one run over seven innings of work while striking out seven and walking one. His only run allowed came on a Jorge Alfaro single in the fourth inning. Castillo got off to a poor start this season but has really come on strong of late, posting a 2.43 ERA over his past 15 starts. Overall, Castillo has a 7-12 record, 4.35 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 145 strikeouts over 144 2/3 innings of work. He will look to stay hot next time out when he faces off against the Milwaukee Brewers.
