3 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday with lower back spasms, with the move made retroactive to August 17, according to Justin Toscano of NorthJersey.com. In a corresponding move, the Mets recalled relief pitcher Geoff Hartlieb from Triple-A Syracuse. McCann has had a disappointing year at the plate so far, slashing .240/.303/.357 with nine home runs, 35 RBI and 22 runs scored over 99 games.
