3 years agoTampa Bay Rays' first baseman Ji-Man Choi went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's 7-5 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He blasted a solo shot off Lucas Giolito in the second inning to put the Rays on the board. It was his ninth long ball of the season and his first in August. The 30-year-old is starting to heat up; he's logged a hit in four straight and driven in one run over his last three games. Choi is slashing .246/.362/.427 with nine home runs, 38 RBI, and 29 runs scored over 235 plate appearances. The Rays' first baseman plays semi-regularly and sits against southpaws, making him mainly an option in deep-league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
