Jalen Guyton Snags Lone Target For 39 Yards
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Jalen Guyton showed off his speed in Sunday's preseason contest versus the San Francisco 49ers. Guyton caught a beautiful 39-yard pass from quarterback Easton Stick near the end of the first half. It would be his only target on the evening. The speedster is competing with fellow wide receivers Tyron Johnson and Josh Palmer for the No. 3 spot in what should be an exciting offense this upcoming season. Guyton was used to stretch the field in rookie season and even if he wins the No. 3 job, he will be competing with running back Austin Ekeler, tight end Jared Cook and wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams for targets. The former North Texas wide receiver is an exciting player, but he is currently nothing more than a dart throw at the end of upcoming drafts with him likely needing an injury to Williams or Allen to see a rise in value.
