Eddy Pineiro Released By The Colts
3 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts released kicker Eddy Pineiro on Tuesday. Rodrigo Blankenship wins the Colts starting kicking job. Pineiro signed a one-year deal with the Colts during the offseason and did not miss a kick all preseason. He made all of his three field-goal attempts from 31, 50, and 28 yards in Saturday's win over the Minnesota Vikings. The 25-year-old should draw interest from NFL teams in search for a kicker. Pineiro, who kicked for the Bears in 2019, made both of his 50-plus yard attempts while going 23-for-28 overall. Blankenship is a K1 and is expected to be one of the top-10 kickers off the draft board in upcoming fantasy drafts.
